Investing in Knowledge and Changing Global Perspectives
The world is at a turning point. All over the globe, new governments and heads of state are being elected. We also stand before a new European Parliament and the next European Commission for their next five-year mandate. These developments around and in the European Union demand us to reflect. What do these shifts mean for the EU's competitiveness and its strategic position in the world? What are the implications for education, research and innovation? What will happen to the EU’s budget for education, research, and innovation – and how will knowledge be impacted by these decisions? We will reflect on the impact of global political developments on the EU's geopolitical role and the importance of investing in education, research, and innovations. Join us to hear a keynote speech from Caroline de Gruyter, Europe correspondent ,a panel discussion with inspiring speakers, and a reception to conclude the night.
