Event “Bridging the EU innovation divide” – Register now!

The VSNU (Association of Universities in the Netherlands) and Neth-ER invite you to their networking event “Bridging the EU innovation divide” on 10 April 2018. Please join us for an inspiring afternoon where we will exchange thoughts and discuss ways to bridge the innovation divide with various stakeholders from the knowledge community.

About the event

On 10 April 2018, the VSNU (the Association of Universities in the Netherlands) and Neth-ER are organising a networking event “Bridging the EU innovation divide”. During the event, we will exchange thoughts on how to reach across the divide and increase collaboration in the areas of research and innovation between different regions and Member States. A panel consisting of different stakeholders from the knowledge community as well as from the EU institutions will discuss their views on bridging the innovation divide, after which all participants will be invited to share their thoughts in matchmaking sessions. The event will be closed by a reception. Please register through this form.

Context 

This networking event aims at connecting researchers, policy advisors and other staff of knowledge institutes with representatives from countries that are eligible under the Horizon 2020 'Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation' actions. National and regional authorities from these countries are cordially invited as well. Recently, Neth-ER has published its vision paper “Together for knowledge-driven growth” on Cohesion Policy post-2020, calling for further investments in interregional cooperation, human innovation capacity and knowlegde valorisation to close the innovation divide in Europe.
