Europass

Europass is a tool to clearly explain skills and qualifications within the European Union (EU). The tool offers an unambiguous perception of skills and qualifications and is available in all European languages. In addition, it offers the opportunity of learning and working across borders.  

Europass exists of five documents:

• Two documents (Europass curriculum vitae (cv) and Europass language passport) have to be filled in personally;
• Three documents (Europass certificate supplement, Europass diploma supplement and Europass mobility) have to be filled in and handed out personally by competent organisations. The certificate supplement is handed out together with the vocational education diploma, while the diploma supplement is handed out together with the higher education diploma.
