LLP

Within the LLP, four sectoral programs can be identified, within each of these programs similar actions are to be found such as mobility, multilateral projects, partnerships and networks:

• Comenius: refers to pre-primary education and to the second cycle of secondary education;
• Erasmus refers to formal higher education and higher vocational training;
• Leonardo da Vinci: covers vocational education and training;
• Grundtvig: refers to all forms of adult education.

There are also two intersectoral programs that fall under the LLP:

• the Transversal program focuses on policy cooperation and innovation policy, promotes language learning, developing innovative ICT services and contributes to the dissemination of best practices;
• Jean Monnet: gives a stimulating impulse to education, research and reflection in the field of European integration.

The total budget for LLP for the period 2007-2013 amounts to € 6.9 billion.
